Translating Print to Digital
Earlier this year, we completed the 2018 edition of the Ebel Inc. catalog, which served as inspiration for the website. It was important for the two products to compliment each other and of course showcase Ebel’s beautiful furniture and photography. From the start we knew that the site would need to be easily browsable and informative. It showcases over 400 individual pieces of inventory across 16 collections, so it was important to make the site clean and well-organized.
A Clean Design
Much like the print catalog, the site utilizes neutral colors and subtle background details to allow the product to take center stage. It was important for us to establish a natural flow throughout the site as well as an aesthetic that felt soft, comforting, and inviting. We also needed to be flexible as certain products and lines contain more information than others, so the developers took careful consideration in how the site was built to grow and expand.
