Our Design Process

At Station Four we believe having a solid methodology in handling projects is of the utmost importance. A thought-out and tested process allows you to properly set expectations so that you never have to guess what the next step is and wonder when you will hear from us next.

However, we also realize that not all clients are the same and it is important not to funnel all projects through an inflexible process that may be inappropriate for certain clients or projects.

Despite that our process for each project varies according to the specifics of the work and the client, there are a number of very definable phases most web design projects proceed through.

  • 1. Discover Putting Together a Gameplan For Success

During this phase we learn about your project and help determine the best way to proceed. In many cases, prior to signing the contract, a requirements document or list of specifications will be developed and signed off on.

  • 2. Design The Realization of Our Vision

In this phase not only do we design the look of your project but also the specifics of your solution. In a web design, usually we will produce a sitemap, wireframes {gray box method}, a content inventory, and a design composition.

  • 3. Develop Coding Things the Right Way

With the design and architecture of the site agreed upon we proceed with developing your site using web standards. Regular milestones keep you informed of your site's progress.

  • 4. Deliver Getting Your Message Out

With your site coded, tested for cross-browser compatibility, and signed off upon, we work with you to launch your site and assist you in marketing the redesign through press releases, search engine optimization, and internet marketing.

  • 5. Refine Improving Your Webite's Efficiency

Continually monitoring site visitor statistics is crucial. We can help refine your site to maximize its potential.
