Four Quick Questions

Four Quick Questions

Describe your process for keeping projects on time and on budget.

It really just boils down to constant communication. I can be as organized as I want, but since our work is such a collaborative effort on many different fronts, it is necessary to keep the dialogue going on each project every day. I get paid to be really nosey.

How is copywriting for the web unique?

The online reader is a much different animal. There is a much shorter amount of time to grab attention with copy online. I think it is important to write copy that is not only visually approachable—nobody likes a wall of words—but copy that also rich and valuable in content, which is one of the first steps to effective search engine optimization.

What drew you to the arts?

My whole family is incredibly artistic, so the arts are pretty much imbedded in my genes. My artistic passion is dance, which I started when I was about five and continued to practice through college and into my professional career. In one way or another, most of the greatest things in my life have been because of dancing.

What’s one of your favorite concert experiences?

Answering this is nearly impossible. I’ve been to hundreds of concerts through my time at the Florida Theatre, but one of my favorite experiences involved actually dancing in Unwigged & Unplugged: An Acoustic Evening with Christopher Guest, Michael McKean and Harry Shearer. I danced a completely improvised Fosse-style solo to the beatnik version of none other than Big Bottom from the mockumentary Spinal Tap. It was beyond cool.
