Four Quick Questions
What do you like most about web development?
There are always new challenges in web development. With all of the different devices, operating systems, and other technologies we now consume web content on and through, the possibilities for new ways to streamline a business or logical process, improve performance, and make things easier for users is greater than it's ever been. However, with that increased audience and the amount of options available, there are also pitfalls that can easily cause a project to drag on and not meet expectations. I strive to avoid the latter by keeping up to date on what technologies and platforms clients want to target.
What’s your approach to development?
I like development when everyone involved knows what's going on, and what the end product is going to be. Sometimes ideas can be bigger than what you can fit on paper, but the easiest way to achieve a mutual understanding is to have all parties be involved and communicative throughout the process. That means answering questions about issues that arise during development, during the discovery phase, and through QA and deployment.
Do you have an outside project or hobby?
I garden, mostly Bonsai trees but I also have some herbs. I want to start some peppers and other vegetables next spring hopefully. I’m also fascinated by the fermentation process, and the things we eat and drink that are fermented.
What are some things you do for fun?
I play video games, watch movies, go to shows/gigs/bands playing in spaces. Ideally, I would spend most of my free time sleeping, but I usually end up finding new tofu recipes.
