With almost one thousand locations, Firehouse Subs has seen incredible expansion—and with it, encountered the need for consumers to be capable of easily finding their closest one. To address this, we built a locator map that allows consumers to input their zip code or utilize their device location. Once viewing the nearest Firehouse Subs locations, consumers can select a favorite, enabling the website to then provide a quicker ordering experience on their next visit.
With over thirty-five items (and countless variations) to choose from, the menu needed to be as intuitive as it is appetizing, so we redesigned and restructured it for optimal usability. We also included nutrition and allergen information for every item in a simple, clutter-free manner.
A secondary function of the website is to provide interested parties with information about opening their own Firehouse Subs locations. To accomplish this, we set up a microsite specific to this audience that guides them through the entire process, from learning about the franchise to filling out the contact form for an application.
Firehouse Subs Public Safety Foundation has taken off since its start in 2005, granting almost twelve million dollars to hometown heroes for lifesaving equipment. This section of the website gives visitors opportunities to learn about the foundation and donate through a secure third-party portal.
